Here We Are Now

I decided to submit another one while I'm at it.

This picture actually has a story behind it. I was sitting in a car and these black children came into my head. I worked the idea a bit and ended up with a dead world inhabited by these starved, charred children who barely live through their days of endless sunset. They are surrounded by dying trees and hopelessly try to revive some of them...

That was the story in a nutshell... a very compact nutshell. So this is basically a symbolic version of the world after humans have practically destroyed everything with war, pollution, etc.

Acrylic on canvas, 65 cm x 45 cm (I think).
