So I'm leaving for Sweden again and figured I'd again post something in case a volcano erupts or pilots go on strike. Also because I actually drew something big again! Yay!
I have this weird attitude problem that makes me not want to post a lot of fanart on the same franchise, but I kind of figured that since Thief seems to have so little fanart going about a couple of more won't hurt. Besides, Viktoria here was too much fun to draw!
So Viktoria is some kind of plant-woman/wood nymph/dryad, who is apparently a big name among the Pagans. In Thief-world, the Pagans are kind of creepy tree-huggers who value nature above technology and have some weird eye-motif going on. They're not exactly "good" people, but come on, NOBODY in the Thief series is good people... well, except maybe a couple of dead kids you can come across. Maybe.
I realized while drawing this that Viktoria is pretty much a combination of features I really like. Green skin? Check. Funky eyes? Well, they're green and can glow red so check. Plant motifs? Oh yes. A cool weapon? Yes, if you count her plant-powers. Photosynthesis? Most likely. DREADLOCKS? In the second game, yes. A foreign name without foreign letters? Yes! Yay!
That said, she's still not one of my favourite characters in the series, although she is fascinating with her quickly changing moods (a well-spoken, witty and even caring leader figure who can instantly shift to a very cold-blooded and murderous... thing) and it's fun to see her interact with the protagonist (they're friendly enemies).
Drawn with colour pencils on black cardboard. Argh! Why did the black shadow on her face have to reflect light while I took the picture? Oh, well.
